Vision

God has given us the vision that we will experience the supernatural manifestation of unconditional love, which is the very essence of who He is, through the power of personal relationship with Jesus Christ, maturing and perfecting saints as disciples of Christ for the building of God’s spiritual kingdom as we serve in the purpose He has called each of us.

Church History

New Commandment Christian Church began as a seed implanted in Pastor Gerald Bess many years ago.  It is because of his obedience to the Holy Spirit to write the vision for New Commandment Christian Church that the ministry celebrates its fifth anniversary.
The physical manifestation of this ministry culminated on May 6, 2007 when the church held its first service at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Airport Hotel.
The vision of New Commandment Christian Church is based upon five principles:  unconditional love, Godly order, spiritual maturity, the five-fold ministry, and the development of true worshipers.  Its mission is to serve God and His people while exemplifying holiness and unconditional love; to teach personal relationship with Jesus Christ to the lost and found, serving in unconditional love.
It is a church determined to equip saints for the end-time harvest.  Pastor Bess strongly believes that laborers must be prepared for the harvest that is soon to come.  The laborers at New Commandment are prepared through Spirit-led worship services, powerful praise and worship, and in-depth study of the entire Bible.  They are also encouraged to use their gifts and talents to serve God’s people.
Several ministries have been birthed to serve the needs of those who enter through New Commandment’s doors. Among them are Intercessory Prayer, Christian Education, New Members’ Discipleship classes, Marriage Ministry, Young Adults’ Ministry, Youth Ministry, Music Ministry, Men’s Ministry, and Women’s Ministry.
The church has steadily grown since its inception in May 2007. Each member believes that they are vessels to be used in kingdom building. The uniqueness of the NCCC ministry is expressed through the love that is displayed in all aspects of the church. Members seek relationship not religion and desire to introduce His people to a God experience not a church experience.  
At New Commandment, people are invited to experience God for who He truly is; to reverence His Sovereignty; respect His Deity; acknowledge His Ability; and accept His Eternity.  It is an open invitation extended to those who hunger and thirst to know Him as never before.
New Commandment Christian Church is a vision brought to life by God’s unmerited favor and grace. Pastor Bess is confident that the Lord has a special purpose for this ministry. He and the New Commandment family do their best to perform the work of the Lord and believe in the power of God to handle the rest.
